With The Show of Shows just three days away, AJ Lee recalls the lifelong journey that has brought her here. The unpredictable Diva speaks with her childhood idol – former WWE Diva Lita – before greeting WWE fans at WrestleMania Axxess during Day 2 of WWE.com’s WrestleMania Diary.

Garbed in a polka-dotted dress, leather jacket and her Gotham City-approved Poison Ivy Converses, AJ Lee arrives for her first signing session at WWE Axxess, a WWE fan experience that unites WWE Universe members from around the world. But before meeting the throngs filing into IZOD Center, the always unique Diva briefly slips away from the chaos for a quiet convo with Lita, the Attitude Era icon that served as inspiration when she herself fantasized about one day stepping through the ropes.

The pair originally crossed paths more than a decade earlier, when AJ waited in line to meet one of her heroes at WWE New York in Times Square.

Following this clandestine Axxess exchange — the latest in a series of past-meets-present moments that have defined her Garden State homecoming — AJ is ushered to her signing table, an arsenal of Sharpies at her disposal. Ms. Lee, your public awaits.

WWE.com: Lita talks Attitude Era, WWE ’13
Post details: Author: Angel on November 15th, 2012

“In WWE.com’s second Attitude Era–centric interview in celebration of THQ’s revolutionary “WWE ’13,” we sit down with former WWE Women’s Champion and fan favorite Lita to talk about the days when Attitude ruled the ring. Lita dishes about the differences between the Divas division now and then, and what WWE Universe members are telling her about WWE ’13.”

WWE.COM: What is your favorite Attitude Era moment?

LITA: One thing that really sticks out to me is when D-Generation X went and took over the show at WCW with the tank. The whole Attitude Era was about pushing the envelope, and [the tank incident] was one of those, no matter how smart you think you are, you were like, whoa! That’s really happening. They’re going to get into trouble over that.

So that was pretty exciting. I was at that WCW show, in the audience.

WWE.COM: What is your favorite Attitude Era moment you were involved in?

LITA: I could make a laundry list. I think the first thing for me that was definitely Attitude Era–based and my first really main storyline with WWE was with Eddie Guerrero & Chyna vs. myself & Essa Ríos. [I was] the first woman Chyna interacted with, and to be in there with them was great. They had their funny story going on, and you never knew what my story was with Essa Ríos, so that was one.

I think also, when I had a run in with Triple H & Steve Austin when they were together as The Two-Man Power Trip. Looking back on that, I was just excited to be out there with Triple H and “Stone Cold.”

WWE.COM: What are the differences between Attitude Era Women and today’s Divas?

LITA: I think the women of The Attitude Era really did a good job at figuring out who they were and what they wanted to portray to the fans. So each woman was such an individual — you were never going to get Lita and Ivory confused. You’re not going to get the two confused, as opposed to now, is it the hot athletic girl with the short shorts on? No, it’s the other hot athletic girl with the short shorts on. It was about setting yourself apart.

WWE.COM: Which Diva today would best fit in The Attitude Era? Is there a Diva today you’d most like to compete against?

LITA: I think it’s interesting to see the Divas of today and to see who the fans are attaching to. Obviously, right now, it’s AJ Lee, who’s not the strongest; she’s not one of those classically hot chicks. But she sets herself apart, and you have emotion when she’s out there and you get a sense of who she is, and so I think that’s really cool to see the kid that wasn’t supposed to make it being the one that’s out there, and that’s who the fans want to know more about.

WWE.COM: If you had to pick the definitive Superstar or Woman of The Attitude Era, who would you go with?

LITA: Wow. I feel like that’s really hard to answer. There’s definitely a figurehead I could go with who embodied the whole Attitude Era, but I feel like the one thing that was just — from the time the show started to the time the show ended — stuff was going crazy whether it was Val Venis and you thought his towel was going to fall off that night, or if it was Crash Holly running through the hotel trying to regain his 24/7 Hardcore Title, or whether it was more like the big stars like DX, Rock, Mick Foley and Austin.

I think classically, Austin would embody The Attitude Era in a nutshell, but he had a pretty damn good supporting cast.

WWE.COM: “WWE ’13” has the entire WWE Universe talking. What are your thoughts on the game?

LITA: It’s fun for me to see the fans tweet about the matches they’re creating in “WWE ’13.” It’s as close as you could possibly get to having this match ever happen. Fans have been tweeting me these matches that never happened that should have. Fans are creating the matches right before their very eyes, as close to real as you can ever get.

“If you haven’t yet picked up “WWE ’13,” then what are you waiting for?! Get your copy today and relive The Attitude Era!”

WWE.com names Lita ‘Most Extreme Diva’
Post details: Author: Angel on April 27th, 2012

Every step of the way to becoming one of WWE’s most memorable Divas, Lita let her extreme attitude speak for itself. From her humble start as an extreme valet in the original ECW to her time beside “The R-Rated Superstar” Edge, Lita always chose the path less traveled.

Unlike so many valets and managers before her, Lita repeatedly threw caution to the wind, moonsaulting downed opponents to the excitement of the masses. She later developed into one of the fiercest Divas to compete in the ring, capturing the WWE Women’s Championship four times.

She was even brazen enough to turn against Kane en route to aligning herself with Edge. If that doesn’t qualify her as extreme, what does?

WWE.com Dueling Diaries: CM Punk vs Chris Jericho
Post details: Author: Angel on April 1st, 2012
Categories: Wrestling,WWE.com. Add / View Comments (0)

During WrestleMania weekend, WWE.com has been following both WWE Champion CM Punk and his opponent at WrestleMania 28 Chris Jericho leading up to their match this Sunday. Amy was featured in today’s entry as she hangs out with Punk for a walk down the streets of Miami.

It’s hours prior to the WWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony and back at the hotel, WWE’s Superstars, Divas, Legends, family and friends are slipping into suits and cocktail dresses for one of the most important nights of the year. About one mile from that same hotel, CM Punk and his friend Lita are sloshing through a Floridian downpour in sopping wet sneakers and clinging cotton tops. They couldn’t be happier.

Crossing over the Miami River Walk, the two unhurriedly pass through puddles toting veggie and fruit smoothies to be sucked down after this evening’s event. Their conversation thrives while people under umbrellas hustle past to find drier ground.

His Thor tee thoroughly drenched, Punk is probably more comfortable now than he will be in a snug necktie later tonight. In fact, The Voice of the Voiceless makes Gene Kelly look like a grump as he and the former Women’s Champion parade through the streets of Miami, enjoying the crash of the heavy raindrops on their skin.
